Busy man once again

Watches
It has been quite sometime since I felt so busy. It is a good busy feeling though. I don’t feel like I am wasting much time doing nothing though I feel short of precious time for me to achieve everything that I actually set out to do by end of 2010.

Being a student at NUS, living in Far far away land and trying to earn extra cash by teaching and freelancing is definitely not an easy task. Especially for a guy that can’t wake up till he gets a good 8hr sleep.

Now I really need to learn and organize myself. Honestly there is no point for guys like me to have an organizer coz we will probably take it for granted unless situation forces us to follow the plans set out for us in the day. Like how things are for me now. An organizer is to help me be at the right place at the right time as everything in it are important.

That’s why I treasure the little moments I get to spend with my family, partner and friends. Bless my partner who is understanding and does not pressure me to spend all my time with her during her summer break. I really appreciate her visiting me at school just to have lunch with me.

Praying hard that things will only look brighter for all of us.

With love,
Dean Yusoff

Highlights of my 2009

Great year for me. Began by ending a bad relationship, got picked back right up by my best of friends, climbed a mountain, created a new bond, visited Europe with my best buddies, got married ;) and spent new year’s eve in Australia.

Too many things happened in a year right? Wait till this 2010 ends. Hahaha.

RE: Singapore’s Recession is Over?

With reference to the blog post at http://www.temasekreview.com/2009/11/19/singapore-declares-its-recession-over/, I would like to just “pen” my thoughts here instead of commenting too much over there. This is also a reply to some of the comments in the post.

Arabic Name – Deen Yusoff

????-??????-???-????-????

Captured as Image as Arabic font not supported here.

That is my name written in Arabic font. Not that difficult to write actually. I just typed my name in ABCs at http://www.yamli.com/ and it automatically converted my name into arabic text. :)

And if you are wondering, my name is suppose to mean something like, “Praiseworthy of prostrating to faith (in worship)” son of “Praiseworthy for the Lord increases”.

Kinda too much isn’t it? But I like my name. Though it is a mouthful.

Well, that’s why I just introduce myself as Deen Yusoff (Faith as the lord increases). Whatever that is suppose to mean, as I feel that most names don’t make sense when you try to get the real meaning from of the names.

Full of myself,

Deen Yusoff

Asian Themeparks?

Disneyland and Universal Studios in Asia???

Not being prejudiced against the American Franchise but I personally think Whites won’t be all that hyped up in Universal Studios or Disneyland in Asia even with their Asian theme. Where’s the spice in that? And it just killed my dreams of taking a flight all the way to the other side of the world to see something that we don’t have! Now, I’d be comparing the 2 theme parks instead of being amazed with just one.

I love the idea of a theme park here honestly, but why not be a little different? Like an Anime theme park. Get a consortium of all Asian fiction companies and make a huge ass theme park out of this world. Make it so different that the people from the other side of the world would visit Singapore just to let their kids poke on Pokemon or something? It seems to me that the other side of the world are already in love with Asian cartoons for quite sometime now…

Yeah yeah, I know, they gave it to the highest bidder or whoever proposed to them and no Asian Anime Consortium came up to them with a proposal that was out of this world. I’ve posted this, and I can’t patent an idea, but I am sure someday even in a distant future, there will be an Asian that decides to make this come true. I would love to do that if I get an opportunity though. And yes Indians, Arabs or even the Hebrews are Asians too.

But if the future is bleak…. it might turn out to be a “Fun-filled” Hentai Themepark that replaces the ancient Red Light Districts especially the infamous Amsterdam as maybe the people of the future would want more alternative lifestyle. I hope not though…
