Is it possible to double your savings without you doing any work? Cumulative savings. You must have heard this a thousand times if you were ever approached by a financial consultant or an insurance agent before. But how true is it? It is definitely true with the risk factors of course.

In fact some of the investors could help you double your money in just 1 year. High risk, High returns. But then it could be High Losses if you let the wrong person invest your money. You might lose the whole amount invested…

Okok, I know the title is a little corny but hey how coincidental can it be for Mas Selamat to have escaped from the hands of Singapore’s World Class Police Force right after Singapore won the bid for the Youth Olympics game?

He must have been over excited about the event. But probably not because he love sports…well you know…let your imaginations run wild for a while. You’ll probably be able to come out with something with a BLAST! Lol! Okok, really dunno what got into me. Too much of computing stuff I guess.

Last Friday was one of the craziest day I had at school in the whole semester. I put on my shoes to school all the time but I have no idea what got into me that day. I left home in sandals. The worst part was at the back of my mind, I know I have Biology Lab to attend at 12pm. But I didn’t prepare any thing for the Lab!

The 2 most important requirements of the Lab are:

  1. Must put on a LAB COAT.
  2. Must wear SHOES.

And I home without my lab coat, in sandals. Well the moment I entered the Lab, the lab attendant told me to get a pair of shoes and a lab coat or I wont be able to carry out my experiments….

Okay I know this came a little late..half an hour after Singapore won the bid to host the Youth Olympics, my Dad called me up just to tell me about it! Well, I guess it’s a great opportunity for Singapore to earn from this.

Youth Olympics Singapore 2010

Finally we get to host something thats fun. Well to some people at least. :D By 2010 will the “Integrated Resorts” be opened? Then we can probably rip off the tourists’ cash and earn as much as we can. :D

Well, I don’t know about you, but I’m just happy that I would get to watch the Olympics live in 2010.
Cheers!

If you had been looking for a web host that is cheap and comes with all sorts of features, please know that it is too good to be true! I am sure you would have seen many web hosting providers offering 300GB or even 500 GB disk space and UNLIMITED bandwidth, right? I shall not mention their names but these companies are actually cheating you in a “legal” manner. :D

Yay! If you’re above the age of 20 and you are a Singaporean, you’ll be very very happy in 2008. :D Our dear government has decided to share its profits with the public. As for me I am looking at $600 to be credited in my account this year by 2 installments. First at the end of April and 2nd in October. :D

How did I get that amount? I will be getting both “GST off Set Package” and “Growth Dividends“. I qualify for the following remunerations:

GST off Set Package: $200/-
Growth  Dividends: $400 /- ($300 for living in a 4R + $100 for being a NS-Men)
You know what I am thinking about now? The government is sharing its profits with us now, but what if they made a loss? Will they force us to pay for the losses?  Hmmm…I hope they won’t do so. Only share the good stuff I hope. But If I am rich, I don’t mind helping the government of course.

Want to know how much you will receive?  All the details are at the following official sites.

Was daydreaming on the bus home a couple of days ago when the bus came to an abrupt stop. The bus came to a halt in front of the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) College West in Clementi. I have no idea why… but as I was staring at the Institute/College, I started pondering on the Ministry of Education’s attempt to re-brand ITE. Now, it comes with a College suffix to it. Amusing. Now think about this ok?

Clementi ITE

Institute<-> College. The two words used together. Does it make sense to you? Doesn’t it mean that it is a College for the Institute?…

Tried the new plugin called the Slickr Gallery. It comes with a customizable widget too! Easily integrated it with my Flickr Account which uses my Yahoo! ID. Simply wonderful. Click on any of my pictures on the widget on my sidebar and it will pop up nicely, loading the picture in the center of the browser.

I could even show my Flickr albums here! Now I don’t have to worry about my space on Antblogz as I have additional 100MB space from Flickr. This will soon become my photo blog too. Time to buy myself a great still camera for my newly found “passion”. I know I know. This kinda “passion” won’t last. But I guess if I got a great camera while I have this burning passion, it won’t go to waste when I need to snap some pic. :D Well as for now, I’ll settle with my P1i’s cybershot camera. It’s not great, but it’s good enough!

Ladies and Gentlemen, feast yourselves to the largest Ferris Wheel in the world! The Singapore Flyer! Well for a year at least. =x It officially started spinning today but unfortunately you will not be able to sit on it for the next 4 months or so as it is fully booked. You may have a chance to sit on it on Valentines Day though. They may have a few seats left.

The Singapore Flyer

I read up on its details and discovered that Singapore spent S$240-Million to develop this long awaited Ferris Wheel! Another discovery I made is that there is a strange liking for the number 28 for this development.  Not sure if you realised it but heres how it goes.

FAQ of The Singapore Flyer:

  • There are 28 capsules on the Wheel
  • Each capsule can accomodate 28 pax
  • The full rotation takes 30 mins each. 28 mins rotation + 2 mins change over.
  • The operating hours is from 0830-2230 hours. Last ride at 2200. That makes 28 shifts!

Amazing isn’t it? It is mathematically designed to fit with 28. May be a simple design but I think its cool. :D  Too bad the price of the tickets is S$29.50 for adults. Else it would have been another 28!.  So lets do the maths. If the Singapore Flyer is fully booked for the whole year, how much would it earn?

Assumption: All riders are adults.

S$29.50 * 28 persons * 28 capsules * 28 shifts * 365 = S$236,368,160

Singapore will earn back her capital within a year. :D Lets hope that the Singapore Flyer is fully booked for the next 5 years or so. I hope to get some Singapore Tourism Board Shares (If there is any =x) for me to clear some of my student loan when I graduate! Why isn’t education free in Singapore again? Okok that’s another topic.

Firstly, I want to apologize to all the guys that were present for the guys nite out. I am really sorry that I didn’t stay at the club with you guys. I just don’t have the mood… I do have great friends around. Khairil, Ikram and Faisal especially, thanks for trying to cheer me up by treating me and trying to get my mind off things…but i guess my mood was just not right…I really hope that you guys had fun after Khairil and I made our move…Won’t forget your efforts to cheer me up..

Khairil of course, still tried to make me feel better by taking me to the movies, paid for the tickets and even bought snacks for us to munch on while we wait for the show to start. Caught Ah Long Pte Ltd. As corny as the show was, I think it did the trick. I felt better after the movie.

Thanks guys for being such a great bunch. Will try to be there when you guys need a friend too.
