Do you know your country well enough?

Well a little about my family. My parents watch the Indian (National) News, the Malaysian News and gets affected by these foreign issues and they don’t really care about local context! Besides Mas Selamat which was also mentioned in the foreign news, they hardly know about anything that happens in Singapore. Are you parents or relatives like that too?

When my Dad met up with my relatives, all they talked about was about Malaysia’s recent polling and how UMNO made a huge mistake in the past. All I can remember is a body created for the Malaysian Hindus, Badan Untuk Tolong Orang Hindu (BUTOH!). Well at least I had a good laugh. =x

How well do you know your country? Do you prefer watching a foreign news network too?

My parents seldom watch the foreign news. But my grandfather, wahhhh he very hardcore one. Local and foreign news, all he go and sebat. Every news on tv also wanna watch. Be it in Bahasa Melayu, Chinese or Tamil language. He even reads the Berita Harian, Straits Time and The New Paper everyday too.

And ya, the recent news about the Malaysia’s polling is damn irritating lah. Whenever I tune in to RTM1 for the past 2 months, they have been talking so much about the poll. Grrrr…

Anyway, sorry I’m a little late. Shoot me?

Happy Happy Happy Birthday to you! May you blessed with all the good things in life. Good health, happiness and wealth. :)
