Yes, another episode on Mas Selamat! I can’t help it. I keep hearing the heated discussions on Mas Selamat whereever I go. On the trains, buses and even during family visits!
By the way, do you guys know that the Internal Security Department (ISD) is actually at Onraet Road and it is UNDERGROUND? Where in Whitley Road can you find the detention centre? And which toilet window did he escape from if the detention centre was underground?
If you are driving on the Pan Island Expressway (PIE), just turn into Onraet Road (The slip road near The Old Police Academy). Drive through all the way to the end and you will meet upon a blocked entrance to the ISD. The detention centre is underground and is highly secured with CCTV everywhere. Even on the slip road itself. So I think they would have known which way the limp had escaped to.
Hence, it is only natural for everyone to pop out with conspiracy theories on this infamous Toilet Break.
Here are some of the theories that I’ve heard so far….
Reasons for declaring Mas Selamat’s Toilet Break:
1. He was tortured to death from interrogation. A “big search” is just a cover up for his death. (VERY VERY POSSIBLE!)
2. He didn’t escape but was released to be given a new identity to live a new life. “Big Search” just to cover up his tracks. (Very IMPOSSIBLE!)
3. He was purposely released as bait, to lure his other counterparts out. (POSSIBLE.)
4. He was released so that he can be a mole in the JI. (VERY VERY IMPOSSIBLE!)
5. He did escape but killed himself or killed by his counterparts to make the police never to find him. (Only ALLAH Knows. =x)
6. He really did escape, staying in his accomplices place watching pirated DVD and eating Nasi Padang daily. (Well this is my theory…) He is probably just waiting for everything to cool off and then really make his big escape to Papua New Guinea to train the aborigines to shoot poison needles at the American Navy.
7. He got picked up immediately after his escape and escaped to the Philipines on a sampan even before the news was let out to the public. (Not sure why the CCTV didn’t pick this up when they could notice outsiders passing pizza and Roti Prata over the fence to the trainees at Echo Coy during the time when training of Police Officers were still done at The Old Police Academy…)
(**UPDATED**)
8. Singapore handed Mas Selamat over to the U.S of A for further interrogations on his links with the Al-Qaedah and faked the escape… (This is a very very sensitive issue. But HEY! It is very possible!)
(**UPDATED ON 15/04/2008**)
9. Mas Selamat finally managed to say the correct chants and transported himself to an undiscovered island somewhere in the south of Indonesia while relieving himself in the ISD toilet.
(I have no choice but to add this in. Almost everyone that I talked to told me about his spiritual powers after reading this post though I don’t believe it is possible. But as Aidil from the comments said,”God works in mysterious ways.” =x)
So what is your theory? Do you believe that what the media has been telling is true? Or do you even care bout Mas Selamat? Lol! I am sure there are many of you that aren’t even affected. If you travel to Malaysia often, you’ll probably be cursing and swearing about the fact that now it takes hours to go through. Other than that, you can’t be bothered to whatever has happened to Mas Selamat. Right? =x
Oh well. Signing out,

I’ll never believe the media’s shit. You know I don’t, and I know you don’t either. Hahahah, skeptical? Nahh…Realistic? Yes!
And yes, the ISD lockup is not just some highly guarded house. It is actually housed somewhere below where you can’t find it. So there’s probably only one entry and exit. The fire exit would have been probably locked, and maybe only opened during times of emergency.
Hey there’s another theory…I wonder how much Wong Kan Seng got paid to take the rap.

Yeah! “You know me damn right you know.”
Now, the drama has just begun. This will all settle down like in 2 months or so. People will forget that he existed. =x

i heard somewhere that even if they did catch him, they wouldn’t tell the public until they’re done investigating.
personally, i find that really dumb. we’re not stupid and yet they’re feeding us with this bullshit.
how he escaped should have been thoroughly analysed since its a big boo-boo that they made.
so yes. that’s my view. heheh! :p

Mas Selamat is not the only one subjected to the insidious ISA laws of arrest and detention without trial. If he is to be found guilty of his crimes (which he is yet to commit), give the man a fair trial. Otherwise simply put you are innocent until PROVEN guilty. At any rate, you still have Abdul Basheer, Rijal and others cooped up in cold ISD cells in the similar capacity.
It is very troubling and frightening reality where one can be easily deemed as “radical” and subject to this treatment. Imagine your life utterly destroyed by this. Imagine the repercussions.
So much have been said but still we are not getting across. Even now we are to be blamed for being complacent that led to Selamat’s escape.
I ramble too much. Time to go. Ok. Selamat!

Shehnaz: Yeah, they know we are not stupid yet they feed us with crap. But I guess they can’t tell the truth either. =x
Ifah:
You memang. Slalu takde link. Lol! Think you watched too much of P.Ramlee.
Aidil: Yeah, with ISD’s laws, they could put anyone they want behind bars. ANYONE! I had always thought that it is crazy. They make laws in such a way that would benefit them and not the people. There are so many laws that I am not happy with…but can’t do much about…

How about this theory where people said that he has this spiritual power. To which he can make himself invisible and then escape from the centre? Heard of that? Btw, Ifah is funny there. Adduuh Kassimmmmmmm.. Huahuahua!!!
April 14th, 2008 at 11:17 pm
Cha!: Yeah! I heard that one too. Lol! But I don’t believe that his spiritual powers would suddenly appear after being locked up for so long. Unless he reached enlightenment while taking a crap. Hahaha!

God works in mysterious ways.. U can never know. If untruth and injustice is being perpetuated against you, your prayers may be answered.
After which, selamat lah!

Since many people around me believes that he may have “Ilmu Ghaib” (Malay term for “Transporting Power”) with him. I have decided to add that as another theory of his escape.

A person close to an important person was kidnapped and held to ransom for the release of Mas Selamat. Hence he was released in exchange. Notice how LHL was absent for 2 weeks?
